District Brewing In Lynden

Locally owned District Brewing Co. is opening its third location on Wednesday, May 1 near Lynden, featuring 24 taps and a delicious menu with specialty craft pizzas, the best wings around, appetizers and salads.
The newest District Brewing location is at Hinotes Corner, the intersection of Hannegan and East Pole roads (6912 Hannegan Road), just 4 miles south of Lynden and 6 miles west of Everson. It will offer beer crafted at District Brewing’s main brewery in Mount Vernon, plus other beers, cider, seltzers, kombucha and non-alcoholic options such as root beer and orange cream.
Hours are noon-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon-9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and noon-8 p.m. Sundays.
Owners Mark and Amy Shintaffer launched District Brewing in 2020 in Mount Vernon, then opened a Ferndale taproom in 2022. A Ferndale High School graduate who has lived in the Everson area for more than 20 years with children in Nooksack Valley schools, Mark Shintaffer has plenty of connections in North Whatcom County. As a result, his request for local sports memorabilia to display in the Lynden location received a great response.
“We’re going to be a fun place for families and friends to gather,” Shintaffer said.
It’s believed that District Brewing may be the only locally owned brewery with three locations. A press release and photo of Amy and Mark Shintaffer are attached. For more information and interviews, call Mark Shintaffer at (360) 410-7751.
