  •  If you are using the hideaway, charges may apply to use the bedding if no extra guest fee was paid.

  • Would you please leave the door closed at all times? If you choose to leave the door open for an extended time, it will result in unwanted flies into the home, which will create extra cleaning fees to remove what they leave behind.

If you have unloaded your luggage at the steps, you then can pull up and around the top of the driveway.  You will see a guest parking sign. Pull up to that sign and park there.  Do no go past the sign and park in front of our garage doors.  There is space between the sign and our garage for us to get out. 

Once you have parked by the Apartment sign, you can turn around and walk back down the driveway.  There is a sign that says “apartment.”  And you can enter through the sliding glass door.  It will be open.

You can check into the apartment from 4 pm on the day of arrival. We kindly ask that you check out on the day of departure before 10 am.

You can check into the Farmhouse Apartment after 4 pm. 

Follow the driveway to the Y in the road and then make a left up the little hill to the Main Farmhouse.  If you need to unload your vehicle, you may stop at the Apartment sign, at the top of the stairs that lead to the patio, and unload your vehicle.  

Yes, we have a central air conditioner that we can turn up for your comfort.

We offer a self-check in. The sliding glass door will be open, and a key will be on the kitchen table for your use.

For your convenience robes, bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, complimentary toiletries, tissues and a hairdryer are provided in each room.

When you stay in the apartment, you benefit from exclusive use of your own private patio area with a large patio table and seating area from which you can enjoy amazing panoramic views across the fields. A private outdoor grill and utensils is also provided for your use. IN addition, you can also enjoy shared use of the garden with both other guests and the owners (who you will often find tending and working in the garden 😊)

You can access the internet free of charge. Search for the wireless network called Guest, and You will require the password Farmstead. Wi-Fi is available outside, but you may not have a signal unless you are closer to the house. 

  • We do offer a smart TV.
  • If you log into your account, please log out. We will not be responsible for other charges. Would you please not unplug the Satellite or TV cords? A fee may apply if we need to fix it.

All non-registered guests must have a parking permit(-you can ask us for one-), park in the VISITOR parking area, and leave by 8 PM.

As we all know, unfortunately, noise travels! Here at Oostema Farmstead, we pride ourselves on providing a tranquil and peaceful place to stay, and because of this, we have a designated “quiet time,” which is between 10 pm and 7 am. We kindly ask that you respect other guests by keeping noise levels to a minimum during this time.

Our Farmstead store is not open daily.  You can pre-purchase your products before arrival, which is highly recommended for optimal thawing time. To shop, go here: Farmstead Store.

Please order all meats 24 hours before your arrival, so we can collect the meats and get them thawed out for you to cook when you arrive.  If you wish to purchase additional meats or items, please make an appointment with Lisa. We will gladly open the store for you, and you can browse our products.  

Pre-Order Your Farm-Fresh Produce

Why not enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner fresh from the Farmstead? Cook up farm-fresh meals by purchasing ahead via our store website – enjoy home-grown eggs, sausage, bacon, Wagyu beef and other delicious meats

Everything will be ready for you in the refrigerator when you arrive.  To find out more, head over to our online store.

Add one of our mouth-watering meats, along with Farmstead fresh eggs, and you’ve got the most delicious meal of truly Farmstead local produce! 

In addition, during the season, you can also purchase one of our garden baskets to pick and fill as you go with all your favorite herbs and organic vegetables.

Picking fresh produce and then teaming it with fresh meat and eggs for lunch or dinner is one of life’s simplest pleasures.

We ask that you vacate the property by 10 am on your day of departure to enable us sufficient time to prepare for the next guests.

  • Before you leave, please dispose of trash in the can we provide.
  • Please place all dirty dishes in the designated tub
  • Please do not leave any excess like large cardboard or packaging material-please take it with you. We do not recycle, so place all bottles and cans in the designated garbage can.   • Place all the dirty laundry in the basket located in the King Bedroom, in the closet.
  • There is no need to strip the bed. 

Experience the Farmhouse Hot Tub to the fullest by reserving your exclusive time slot. Ensure you secure your hot tub session.   Not booking a slot will result in restricted access, with the tub remaining locked. Book your time here: 

  • When using the hot tub, please carefully follow the instructions for opening and closing the lid to avoid any damage, as any costs associated with damage will be passed on to the guest.
  • For safety reasons, we ask that you refrain from bringing glass cups to the hot tub area. Plastic cups are thoughtfully provided and can be found in the cupboard for your convenience.
  • The Hot Tub is located at the rear of our Farmhouse and can be accessed by walking to it via the yard, so be sure to wear appropriate footwear.
  • Feel free to utilize the robes provided in your bathroom for added comfort during your hot tub experience.
  • During the summer season, access to the Hot Tub requires walking through the campground.
  • Please be considerate of other guests and maintain quiet voices while conversing in the hot tub area.
  • The maximum allotted time for hot tub usage is 1 hour. Enjoy your relaxing soak!

The Farmstead Experience

The Facilities

The barn is home to our animals, and here you will find our Wagyu herd and a few other breeds of cows. . 

  • Treats for the animals: We provide a limited amount of treats for the animals. We ask that you spaciously feed them treats so there is some for the other guests to enjoy providing them, and do not feed or throw any hay, grain, or anything else for them to eat. 

  • Alfalfa cubes can be found in the front of the Big Gabrel Yellow Barn. But, again, please limit the amount so others can also enjoy this activity.

  • We ask that you spaciously feed them treats so there is some for the other guests to enjoy providing them, and DO NOT FEED or throw any hay, grain, or anything else for them to eat. This can make them very ILL! AGAIN DO NOT FEED THEM ANYTHING ELSE. 

Enjoy free high-speed wi-fi, Direct TV, smart TV, a selection of board games, various books, guides and maps. The apartment also offers a separate working area with a desk for somewhere quiet to catch up with emails and messages.

The kitchenette facilities include complimentary coffee and tea,  apartment fridge, microwave oven, toaster, coffee pot and all the amenities required to help you prepare light meals.

For your use, we supply a BBQ. It has a side burner for cooking with a skillet or pot.

Please turn off all burners when done and clean them up after each use. There are utensils and pans located under the toaster oven.

You have access to the Farmstead Laundry Area which is located in the Farmstead Barn Office and offers both a washer and dryer.

You have complete access to all of the property, so you may take full advantage of the fields to wander through. From riding bikes to leisurely walks through the raspberry fields, it’s there for you to enjoy. The driveway goes in a circle around the main Farmstead, and it will lead to the fields.

You will find a map of the property located at the check-in station in the campground for your convenience. 


The management will not accept responsibility for any valuables lost or mislaid unless handed in for safe custody. Further, we take no responsibility for any damages or losses incurred to vehicles or property contained therein. Guests are reminded to take the usual precautions and not leave any valuables or other items on show in their vehicles. Our total liability to you is limited to the booking price, and under no circumstances will we be responsible for any indirect or special damages
