Located on the main level of our farmhouse, the apartment is all on one level inside, with no interior stairs. The king bedroom includes a private ensuite bathroom, while the second bedroom offers a queen bed and its own full bathroom, making the space especially comfortable for couples or friends traveling together.

Step outside onto your private patio with your morning coffee and take in the farmland stretching out around you. Our Wagyu cattle graze in the surrounding pastures, birds fill the mornings with song, and life moves at a noticeably slower pace here.

Spend the day exploring Lynden, Bellingham, Mt. Baker, or the beautiful countryside of Whatcom County. When you return to the farm, settle in for the evening or reserve some time in our guest hot tub for a relaxing soak.

Oostema Farmstead is a 117-acre working Wagyu cattle farm, and staying here gives you a little glimpse into everyday farm life without giving up your privacy or comfort. Wander the property, enjoy the gardens, watch the cattle in the pasture, or simply find a quiet spot and do absolutely nothing for a while.

Inside, you’ll find a comfortable living area, dining nook, kitchenette, two bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. We take great care in keeping the apartment exceptionally clean, comfortable, and welcoming.
