Located in northern Washington, it is the highest peak in the North Cascades and the northernmost volcano in the conterminous United States.  Summer months bring hiking when the road is cleared of snow to Artist Point at milepost 58, and most trails are snow-free through fall, and the winter months bring winter sports, including Downhill Skiing/Snowboarding, snowshoeing, Snowmobiling, and Cross county.

From Lynden to the peaks of Mt. Baker is only a 1-hour 15-minute drive.  Mt. Baker has a little of everything to accommodate the most experienced outdoor enthusiast to the beginning hiker. Mt.
