Oostema Farmstead

LYNDEN — The Northwest Washington Fair has announced a new addition to the lineup for the grandstand of the 2021 fair: Northwest Rock Fest.

It will be all day Saturday, Aug. 14, on the first weekend of what is now a 10-day Lynden fair.

Fair manager Chris Pickering said Rock Fest, bringing five classic rock acts to the fair, will be similar to the previously planned new Party in the Dirt country music festival, set for Saturday, Aug. 21.

In the Bank of the Pacific Grandstand Entertainment Series, Northwest Rock Fest is presented by Chad Chambers Auto Sales & Detailing and HomeSmart One Realty.

The five acts are:

  •    Lou Gramm, a founding member of Foreigner.
  •    ASIA, featuring John Payne.
  •    Hell’s Belles, an all-female AC/DC tribute.
  •    Stone in Love, Journey tribute.
  •    Barracuda, Heart tribute

“The Northwest Rock Fest promises to be our biggest hit this summer,” Pickering said.

Online presale for email subscribers started Wednesday, Feb. 3, with a public on-sale Friday, Feb. 5. Reserved seating is available in the Grandstand, and Pit tickets good for standing room only in the dirt arena, closer to the stage. Separate gate admission is required. A newly revamped VIP experience will be available and includes access to the VIP Party Pit, air-conditioned restroom trailers, premium parking, a full no-host bar, phone charging stations, shaded backstage lounge, gate admission, and a $25 fair food voucher.
