By confirming your booking, you agree to follow these simple guidelines. Please treat the Farmstead as you would your own home. Keep it clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.

Guests Only

Your reservation covers the number of guests listed at booking.

Additional or unregistered guests are not permitted without prior approval. 

Payments & Cancellations

A 25% deposit is taken when you book. The remaining balance is charged automatically before arrival unless other arrangements are made.

If a payment fails, please update your information promptly to keep your reservation.

Cancellations

• Before the final balance is due: We keep the 25% deposit; no further charges.
• After the balance is paid: No refund.

Travel insurance is strongly encouraged.

All charges appear as Oostema Farmstead on your card statement.

Age Guidelines

• Because we are a working farm, guests must be 16 or older.
• If you are traveling with a child, reach out. We sometimes make exceptions for one well-behaved older child.

Farm Life & Amenities

Farm life means surprises can happen. Power outages, appliance issues, or weather interruptions are possible. We will always do our best to resolve any problems quickly, but refunds are not issued for these events.

Lost & Found

• Items left behind can be returned at your cost for shipping. Unclaimed items are discarded after 30 days.

Pet Policy (fee applies)

We’re happy to welcome dogs to the Farmstead!

• One dog is allowed in the Little Farmhouse and the Barn Cabin.

• Guests may bring up to two well-behaved dogs per RV, as long as all pet rules are followed

By agreeing to these Terms, you accept our full “Dogs at the Farmstead” guidelines, which outline how to enjoy the farm safely with your dog.

Farm Safety & Responsibility

• The Farmstead is a working farm with livestock, electric fences, and equipment. Please respect all signs and stay clear of restricted areas.
• Guests are responsible for their own safety and that of their group. Oostema Farmstead is not liable for injuries or losses except in cases of gross negligence.

Property Care

• Speed limit: 10 mph on the gravel driveway.
• No drones or fireworks on or near the property.
• Please do not nail, screw, or cut any trees.

Legal Notes

If the property becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control, our only responsibility is to refund payments made.

This agreement follows Washington State law, and any disputes are handled in Whatcom County.

If one part of this agreement is found invalid, the rest remains in effect.
