Things to do in the spring
As winter fades away and spring starts to bloom, the Pacific Northwest comes alive
Head West from our cozy little farm for a short 23 Miles you’ll run into Blaine, Semiahmoo Bay, and Drayton Harbor for a fun day outdoors!
Semiahmoo Park includes an extensive area of public tidelands, certainly one of the best places to go for a beach walk in Whatcom County. Check tides for the best low tide times. Follow boardwalks to beach overlooks, then continue out onto the tidelands and follow the incoming tide along both sides of the spit.
Enjoy the spectacular views across Drayton Harbor to the snow-capped peaks of Mount Baker. And if you bring your binoculars, you can watch various birds and seals in their natural habitat. This segment of the Coast Millennium Trail spans Semiahmoo Park’s length and extends north to the Semiahmoo Resort area and the seasonal Historic Plover Ferry over to Blaine.
Semiahmoo and Blaine are two beautiful areas located in the northwest corner of Washington state, on the border with Canada.
