A small wooden cabin for two on our working Wagyu farm, three miles from downtown Lynden. Inside, a real queen bed and a heater. Outside, your porch, a fire ring and open fields. Your private restroom and a hot outdoor shower are a short walk away, and private hot tub time is included.
What you're booking

Pack a few basics: a flashlight for the walk at night, layers for the weather, coffee or tea for the kettle, and a small camp stove or cooler if you'd like to cook.
On the farm
You'll often see our herd grazing in the fields, or in the big yellow barn where they spend the winter. Please enjoy them from outside the fences.

Everything guests usually ask about the Barn Cabin.
Check-in is anytime after 4 PM, and check-out is by 11 AM. If you'd like help when you arrive, please get here by 9 PM. After that we're off for the night, but you can still settle in on your own.
Yes, free parking right next to the Barn Cabin.
The Barn Cabin is made for two adults, with one queen bed.
Yes. Because we're a working farm with machinery and livestock, all guests need to be 16 or older. The person booking must be 21 or older.
Yes. Visitors who aren't on your booking need a parking pass, park in the VISITOR area, and leave by 8 PM.
Quiet hours are 10 PM to 7 AM, so everyone on the farm can rest.
Some weeks. In winter we open it a few weeks at a time, based on the forecast. In freezing weather it's closed, since there's no water or restroom then. Check the calendar for open dates, or call or text to ask.

No. Since the cabin is a barn on a working farm, clean sheets and bedding are stored in a tote for you, so they stay fresh and dry. Make up the bed with ours, or bring your own, whatever feels most like home.
No. This is a glamping stay, so there's no kitchen or running water in the cabin. You'll have a small fridge, a kettle and fresh drinking water, and there's a sink with hot and cold water near the barn for washing up. If you'd like to cook, bring a small pan, a camp stove or a cooler.
Simple cooking gear if you plan to cook, your favorite coffee or tea for the kettle, your own bedding if you'd rather, and clothes for the outdoors: layers, sturdy shoes and rain gear. A flashlight is handy for the walk at night.

You have your own private portable toilet, plus a double sink with hot and cold water for washing up. In the colder months, your portable toilet moves right outside the cabin door.
Yes, a hot outdoor shower in a private, fully enclosed stall with a door and a changing area inside. In summer, our RV guests use it too.

Yes, and it's private, at no extra charge. After you book, we send a calendar link so you can reserve your own time slot between 8 AM and 9 PM. The hot tub is behind our farmhouse, a short walk from the cabin, and it's yours alone during your slot. Slots can fill up, so reserve yours early.
Yes. You'll often see our Wagyu grazing in the fields, or in the big yellow barn where they spend the winter. Please enjoy them from outside the fences.
Yes. You're welcome to walk the fields and lanes. Please respect posted signs and stay clear of fenced pastures and equipment.
Only outdoors, over the driveways. There are none at or near the Barn Cabin.
Yes, one dog under 50 lbs. A pet fee applies. Your dog stays on a leash whenever it's outside, stays off the bed, keeps away from the livestock, and is never left alone in the cabin. Bringing your dog's crate or bed from home helps keep the cabin fresh for the next guest. An extra cleaning fee may apply for excess pet hair. Please read Dogs at the Farmstead before you book.
Yes. Order Wagyu beef, eggs and more from our online farm store at least 24 hours before you arrive, and we'll have it thawed and ready for you at check-in.
Yes. The Farmstead Market is open Saturdays from 10 to 4. Any other day, call or text to set a time and we'll open it for you.

You pay 25% when you book, and the rest is charged automatically 45 days before you arrive. Booking on our website also includes a refundable $75 security deposit.
Yes, a short rental agreement. Our farm-stay insurance requires one for every stay. We'll send you a link to sign it after you book, and you're welcome to read it before you book. Just ask.
Your 25% down payment is non-refundable, and once the rest is paid, there are no refunds. We recommend travel insurance. See our full booking terms.
